Human River
Quick post for today. This is a short video of the "Human River" in Shinagawa Train station. Basically all the JR gates are to the right and all the businesses are to the left, so there is a constant stream of people during the morning rush hour. The flow reverses at night. In Japan, businesses are very regimented with start/stop/lunch/etc.. so everyone gets to work at 8:30 or 9:00. It felt like we were in an army invading another country or something, very surreal feeling. Oh yeah, we were also nervous as hell because of our Immigration appointment later that day.

WOW - is there mandatory military service in Japan. The river looks like they were trained to march at some point.
