Kev and I eating a rapid meal at the airport before the flight...Some international flights have had great vagan/vegetarian options, others not so much. (Thank god we ate ahead of time this flight was on the list of worst meals in the world).
Kev thinking 10am after no sleep would be a hilarious time to check the flash on the camera.
Bathroom in our glorious Granvia hotel room.
Industrial, yet pretty, wedding area at Granvia. This wedding/event area is in the middle of a subway station in case you are unfamiliar with Kyoto station.
Granvia hotel has art on every floor by different artists. The artist on our floor had these beautiful small, structures each containing some form of babies breath (flower) and either hearts of orange peal or small dried gourds.
My office at the Granvia (aka the chair and table in our room). I could watch the rain storms come in and out.
$2.98 7-11 salad for lunch. Vegan and really good! Every "meal" you get at a convini/conbini will come with chopsticks and a toothpick.
Picture of the rain coming in during a storm. The entire city disappears as the storm passes over.
Getting mean mugged by a turtle at Toji temple. We were looking for a flea market that was supposed to be happening (turned out I had my days mixed up). We will return her another time for more photos and to actually see the temple.
A beautiful koi at Toji Temple
Dog store in a shopping mall. People here have designer dogs, and spend a lot of money on their accessories....
Although we later found an amazing pizza place in Teramachi mall with super cheap, this is common pricing for pizza in Japan.
Someone needs to explain to Tully's Japan what Veggie pizza means...(if you can't see it, they have bacon or ham on them)
Tiny delivery truck
Tiny hand cart
Tiny cans of soup
World's largest all wooden structure...more pictures another time, we just stumbled upon this on our way elsewhere.
Really yummy Korean food at Yodobashi mall. This place was awesome! and the waiter lived in Canada briefly so he spoke enough English to understand what "no meat" meant! It was so nice to get a brief break on the language end of things.
Hi guys. So happy to see some pictures of your adventure!! All this food talk is making me hungry. I should go eat a teeny tiny meal!
